Work-related violence can involve abuse from members of the public including customers, clients, patients, service users or students towards a person at work. This can lead to physical harm, serious or persistent verbal abuse, or threats that can have a serious effect on workers’ health. Work-related violence can cause injury; stress and mental health conditions; disability or death. This Napo film raises awareness of the importance of protecting workers from violence by implementing necessary technical, organisational and personal preventive measures.
Napo in... Fire alert!
This film illustrates the risk of fire and explosion in the workplace, and the measures which can be taken to reduce the risks. A fundamental issue in managing the risk is the need for a robust risk assessment. For a fire to start or an explosion to occur, three elements are required: a flammable substance (fuel), air (oxygen), and a source of ignition (heat). The target audience of the film is primarily employees working in industries and/or jobs where the risk of fire and explosion is highest.
